From the Wall

He made it! And he-e-e-re's the proof ...

Yes, today HWMBO visited the Great Wall of China - well, one part at least because the "Wall" is a series of fortifications that stretch for more than 3,000 miles along the historical northern borders of China to keep out invaders.

Fortunately, they have elevators that help to ferry geezers like us to the top. HWMBO had thought that he would have to scale it, somewhat like climbing a mountain.

Tomorrow, he and some friends have hired a guide and a taxi to do some exploring on their own - or as much on their own as they'll be allowed to.
