Juxtaposition

During our stay in Champagny, we needed to make a quick visit to the local doctor to resolve a medical problem that Friend G had developed.  While waiting outside, I noticed the placement of the medical office, separated only by a staircase from the French Ski School.  Having been a downhill skier myself, I reflected that the juxtaposition was likely a convenient one for patrons of this small ski resort.
For information, the visit where Friend G did not have to wait, where her problem was resolved to her satisfaction, and which took place late on a Saturday morning during the off-season in this tiny ski resort cost a "whopping" total of EUR 22!  Imagine!

If this is what "socialized" medicine leads to, then I want some of that.  So should we all.  Why do we allow our politicians and our media to brainwash us against our own best interests?
