After our dining interlude, we separated once again. This time, it was Friend G and I who strolled about to see the sights while Son B and the Double Cs went to see the garden.
Wherever one looks, Yvoire is full of charm and beauty. One can easily while the time away in this little village, whether one is in the village itself, or simply gazing at the lake.
The shopkeepers had re-opened their shops after the midday closures and it was - almost - more fun to window shop than to buy.
I usually stop on my visits at this shop to pick up some quaint stocking stuffers for the younger set. These wooden toys are timeless favorites.
The colors were almost always eyecatching.
This pottery shop is another of my favorites.
Even Son B and the Double Cs had couldn't resist stopping at one of the shops as they headed back to the dock for our meet-up.
The boat for our return trip to Nyon was one of the modern smaller vessels. This time, I elected to stay inside with Friend G. It was a wise decision. But the cold and wet didn't daunt the Double Cs at all.
Within a very few minutes, the skyline of Nyon with its distinctive castle appeared on the Swiss side of the lake.
And we were ready to head homeward once again.
